About Us

Health & Hustle is a health & wellbeing initiative across the Gloucestershire Health Community designed to various groups becoming active and healthy, recognising that one-size does not fit all.

Health & Hustle brings together a diverse community united by a shared commitment to improving physical wellbeing, mental resilience, and social connection. Our activities attract individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and fitness levels who value accessible, supportive, and non‑judgemental opportunities to become more active. Participants are drawn not only to the health benefits of movement, but to the sense of belonging, encouragement, and collective achievement that defines our culture.  This community is characterised by inclusivity, kindness, and mutual motivation. Many members join because traditional fitness environments feel intimidating or inaccessible; Health & Hustle provides a welcoming alternative where progress is celebrated, barriers are reduced, and everyone is supported to take part at their own pace. Through regular group sessions, shared milestones, and positive peer support, participants build confidence, reduce isolation, and strengthen their connection to the wider community.  Health & Hustle therefore represents a genuine community of interest, a self‑organising group with a common purpose, shared values, and a collective desire to improve wellbeing. Our activities foster healthier lifestyles, stronger social networks, and a more resilient local community, making us a valuable partner in preventative health, community development, and inclusive wellbeing initiatives.

What are the benefits of joining the Health & Hustle?

We will set up activities and events to give staff and patient groups the opportunity at work or at home to create their own active community to support each over in achieving active goals. Members can take part in organised walks or running groups at a minimal cost, however the benefits in the long term are priceless.

Who can take part in the Health & Hustle?

  • Individuals seeking gentle, confidence‑building routes into physical activity.
  • NHS staff, carers and working families who require flexible, responsive support.
  • People who benefit from a safe, welcoming environment to build healthier routines.
  • Community members who are isolated or disconnected from local networks.

What are the rules in the Health & Hustle challenges?

“Simple”, We set up the challenges but you set the rules! It is up to you what you set as a personal goal, and the group is there to support and provide you with a bit of competition and support. If competition is not for you, go at your pace, 2 steps is better than 1 step, so just try to improve with small goals to build up to your future goals. “It really does work”!
