Why Warming Up and Cooling Down Matter

Before diving into any run—especially when following the Couch to 5K programme—it's essential to prepare your body properly. A gentle warm-up helps activate key muscle groups, reducing the risk of injury and making your run feel smoother from the start.

Just as important is the cool-down. After your run, taking time to stretch and ease your body back into rest helps prevent stiffness and supports recovery.
