South Africa, Cape Town Robin Trust News

The Robin Trust does great work in healthcare and community support in the Cape Town area and it was humbling to see where the funds raised for the charity has made a difference in supporting inpatient dementia care and care within the community.  We were very fotunate to be hosted by fellow healthcare professionals who gacve us a look at what the healthcare system delivers in South Africa, especially with the poor and most vunrable.

The visit has had a significant impact in several ways and the key take aways from the thise who joined the visit made the following observations:

Boosting morale & recognition by seeing firsthand support from the Health & Hustle to uplift the staff and volunteers, to help reinforce the work they do is valued globally.

Strengthening partnerships have fostered deeper collaboration between Health & Hustle and the Robin Trust and will lead to new fundraising ideas, training exchanges, or ongoing support initiatives.

Showcasing the Fundraising Impact and seeing how the funds raised are being used, giving donors confidence in continued support.  The real-life stories and visuals from the visit are heart warming and breath taking.

Knowledge & skills exchange has been invaluable knowledge-sharing and has inspired operational improvements following the visit with QI that could make a big difference.

Community engagement and interacting with patients and caregivers, provided a sense of connection and direct encouragement.

The visit would not of been possible thanks to the Robin Trust Trustees  Chair Cathy Miller who made our stay out of this world.
