Susan Doran - Health & Wellbeing Consultant

Susan has worked in Workplace Health Improvement for over 27 years.  She came into this as a physical activity specialist teaching aerobics, delivering fitness testing and health behavior change training.   This was a direction change for her at the age of 40 having lived with chronic back pain caused by excessive driving in her previous sales and marketing career.

Susan has delivered Physical Activity and Health Programmes in Schools and facilitated tailored weigh management and exercise programs to the public and to NHS staff.  She has facilitated all three National Workplace Health Programmes on behalf NHS Scotland, Public Health Wales and the Workplace Wellbeing Charter, and had a key role in the development of the Healthy Workplaces Gloucestershire Award.   Susan clearly understands the benefits of approaching health improvement both through increasing activity and improving diet and have lived experienced on how this can improve MSK conditions.  She feels driven to support people to enjoy the healthiest working life that they can have and help overcome the modern-day barriers in place.

Alongside providing support to the programme, Susan has completed the Couch to 30 Minute programme and has returned to continue to support others in the group in their own quest to take up running.  Using Susan’s experience from her aerobics, she regularly takes the warm up sessions to get the group moving before running the sessions in the schedule

Health and Hustle is a proven vehicle to improve physical, mental, and social wellbeing in which this new Live Well Programme will be the perfect addition.
