Team H8H2019 Cheletenham Challenge 2019

Team H8H2019 took part in the Cheltenham Challenge on Sunday 16 June 2019.  With a total of 22 participants from Gloucestershire Care Services, Gloucestershire Hospitals, Colour Connect and past members from the NHS Veterans Group, we all met to participate in the 10KM and 5KM events. 

With a week of rain prior to the event the weather held off for most of the event, but it was evident that the ground had taken its toll with muddy trails and the odd puddle to run through.

This year the group had juniors of H8H members taking part, which really made this a family event.  As part of the event, we used this as the graduation of the couch to 5KM programme and both Terry Gibbs and Caroline Hooper completed the run and were awarded certificates to mark the occasion. 

The 5KM event also saw Casper Dykes coming in 3^rd within his age group in the 5KM event.  Run, Jog or Walk we all had a great day and to mark the occasion the CEO Cordell Ray from the CCP presented certificates at the end of the events.

We have now marked another year of success with the 3^rd anniversary of the Health & Hustle and look forward to 2020 with a bigger presence at next year’s event.
