Are you sitting too much?




Sitting kills!! But the good news is that there’s lots you can do about it.

If your job involves sitting at a desk, and you do not regularly get up and move around ,this could be seriously affecting your health, and ultimately reduce your life expectancy.  Shockingly, inactivity such as sitting for more than 6 hours/ day (lots of us do it!) results in a higher morbidity and mortality rate than smoking, high blood pressure and obesity. Also, the effects of long bouts of sitting are not completely counteracted by doing exercise in the evening. 

The good news is that with a little tweaking you can incorporate regular activity into your work-day.
