Health&Hustle News

We have had another great week, even though it’s the summer holiday period.  The trek across Asia is progressing and taking us towards the Autumn challenge, giving the new teams a chance to build their teams and start getting Active.  Please keep sharing the hustle with staff who might be interested in joining a team.

Meet some of our running members

Director of Nursing Sue Field (Left) is a regular runner with the group, along with Lindsay (HR) and Candace (COO), this splinter group are setting some pace within the group.  Not only are they running on the running nights, they are also putting additional time in to get their runs in.  As Senior Managers in the organisation they are setting a real example and encourage everyone who join the group.

With another workweek hustle challenge completed, Tracey W from Gloucester Royal Hospitals took the title as top stepper for this week with 157k of steps.
Unfortunately we can only set rematches due to a software issue that FitBit are working on, however we have published a team workweek hustle that runs from Monday until Friday.

The running group is going really well and we have decided to take a break from the couch to 5km programme until the guys are back from holiday.  This will continue with Week6 Run1.  Whilst we have the opportunity we will be running 5km circuits next Tuesday and Thursday evening.  If you fancy running with us, meet at 5pm at Edward Jenner Court, Parking is available on site.

All those AHPs and Nurses in the #WeActiveChallenge2019 keep up the tweets and post those active photos to your profession hashtag.

We are doing some work with a cancer charity partner who has approached us with joining H8H with a group specifically for patients and staff who provide mobile chemotherapy in the community.  Watch this space for more announcements in the future.

💙Have a great active bank holiday and keep up the active work💙
