Cheltenham 10KM Review

Members from Team H8H2022 took part in the final running event of 2022 taking part in the Cheltenham 10KM running festival at the Cheltenham Racecourse.

Team H8H2022
This event was planned to celebrate the outstanding achievements of the crew have progressed from 5KM to the 10KM distance.
After lots of early morning runs in the build-up, we came together on Sunday 4th September to take part in the event with over 3000+ runners taking part.

Leia & Sarah
The event was a challenge for some of the members, as this was the first time, they have taken part in a large-scale event and in some cases, the first time taking on the distance.  With coaching in place and buddy systems set up everyone achieved their goal crossing the start line and running through the streets of Cheltenham.  What is remarkable about this event is the level of support from the general public that gives you the adrenaline and pushes you through the distance.  We had power up signs along the route with many children offering high fives as well as jelly babies to give you a little sugar burst.

Jules Roberts Crossing the Line
The end of the course is a challenge with the up hill climbs and this is where you have dig in and through determination climb the final hills before the drop towards the finish line.  Crossing the finish line is just an experience in its own rights, however, we would like to dedicate this run to Dr Mike Roberts who passed away last year and would have been so proud of his wife Jules who joined us in his memory to cross the line.

We have a number of successes to shout about with the event and we are extremely proud of everyone’s achievements taking part with the team.  Checkout the video for some of the interviews and how success is measured in smiles.
