This was the second event of the year that members of the team took part in. It was an early start and due to the heat we are thankful it was. Crossing the start line at 8:30am allowed to run the shade into the city centre, however after the 4k marker we started to feel the heat. Everyone managed the run well and used the water stations to cool down. We set ourselves a baseline time and came well in the 80min sub high was great news. Many congratulations to Leslie who took part in her first 10k event and completed it nonstop. With Gloucester completed we will continue to train as we prepare for the Severn Bridge 10k in August. A big well done to everyone who completed todays event and all the other NHS staff that took part in the event.
