After a busy week, it was back to business as usual and on Thursday we started the Autumn couch to 30 minute course with Week1Run1. With 49 registered members we had to rethink how we were going to manage these numbers. Thanks to our new run leaders in place we have groups for each level in which you can choose to move around depending on individuals ability. On the day it’s self we had 29 new and old members turn up for the session which was amazing. Due to numbers we moved the warm up to the back of Sanger House to fit everyone in and go through the paces to wake the bodies up for the session. Splitting the groups down for the main event aloud running buddies to be assigned to support each other. Following a brisk 5 minutes warm up walk we started the first run for a minute followed by 90 seconds of walking for eight reps, and then completing a further 5 minute warm down walk, ready for the cool down session. I am pleased to report everyone made it around the circuit and let with a sense of achievement and things to think about for the second run scheduled for Tuesday.
